You are going to have so many babies in the New Year! You had better make the best of the 'quiet' time over Christmas!

Becks, I usually watch where my tortoises hang out, especially when gravid. This gives you an
eyedear of where their favourites places are. Or they do trial nests. Not sure its the same with stars, as they are inside. But then you have the added bonus as it has to be somewhere in their enclosure, which cant be as big as a garden<g>. It will be interesting to see what Darren has to say, as we all have our own ways.

Sandy 2 is the average for my females but the larger has laid 5 once last year, I think as they are young females and only started laying last year there clutches will grow in density as they mature age wise and growth, they are still growing and have gained alot of weight and size since last season
. Becks I usually note behaviour in most of my females reds,Herman's, Tgg and Tgi all become quite hyperactive a day or so before laying ,they all except the reds choose an open area on a hilly mound , so I watch carefully for nesting behaviour(digging ) in these areas and if the nest is filled in I carefully dig in this area ,usually the ground is soft where they have nested so extracting the eggs is rather easy, females dig a bell shaped nest so eggs are usually off centre to where nesting began. With the stars they never become hyperactive they tend to hide away for the day then emerge when the other stars have retired and nest at night , there nest is easily dug up due to the soft ground that's been dug up while digging the nest.
