Default tortoise piping

Yesterday my tortoise broke a hole in its shell and its head is poking out . Should i help to break the shell away or should i leave him to do it himself also he has not opened his eyes yet . Is that normal.

My other egg which was laid same time has not piped yet are they suppose to hatch same time or can they be different days now on day 56.

Please help

Let her get on with it herself Perfectly normal for eggs in a clutch not to hatch on the same day.

The time varies, some come out in an hour, some take over 24hrs. If its taking a long time, it could be they still have some of the egg sac to absorb.
I will say, any of my hatchlings will have their eyes open, and react to the touch.

If the hatchling reacts to touch, then its probably still absorbing the egg sac:0)
It can be really stressful waiting for them to come out of the shell, but he/she will in their own time:0)

I generally put mine in a heated propagator if they are taking a long time to hatch. That way they are kept warm, and I can keep an eye on them.
If not they are left in the incubator to do their thing:0)
