Woooo my seeds are growing!!!
Sorry had to share my excitement.
I planted some of the SW quick growing mixed seeds only 2 days ago and when I looked today I have afew shoots....my gardening skills are really pathetic so ive shocked myself. I bought a propergator for £2 from wilkos, followed the instructions and left it on a sunny window ledge! Really hope they keep coming and grow nice and strong! I bet you all think im mental

Haha! Michelle this was me last week!!! They grew so quickly!! I currently have about 5 seed trays in the bath and all my friends think i'm mental but they get good sunlight in there!
Only problem is for some reason some of the sprouts have fallen! :S They still really alive so think they might be over crowded or maybe my cats have been in there lying on them!! Haha! I keep willing them to grow quicker!! Hehe! Fingers crossed! Might measure height of mine to compare with yours in few weeks! LOL Rae x |

My kitchen and bathroom currently look like greenhouses. I have nemesia, hollyhock, lavatera, oesteospernum, giant pansy, salvia, calendula, mallow, livingstone daisy, nasturtiums and campanula all sprouting nicely, just need the weather to heat up some more so they can go outside to the greenhouses Have loads more to plant next month too

Rae once they get to a size when you can prick them out with a pencil (1"),
plant 4/5 plants only in a 5" pot to grow on |

I am about to plant my seeds for this year
What I always wonder though, is how to sow them - should i just scatter them into the tray haphazardly or make neat little lines and plant individual seeds at regular intervals? |

Yay! It is exciting. All our little shoots are beginning to poke through.
It's brill being able to walk round the garden and pick stuff for Pebble's tea. Can't wait for our seeds to get big enough to pick as well. |

It is very handy indeed. Few weeds will survive during winter months as well, you will find it is extremely helpful to have food in your garden all year round, like plaintains, dandelions and clovers. I have established pots with plaintain and clover, along with pansy planter they are emergency food. But there is always florette salad. And formulated diets...
