Hermanns egg
Well its not such great news, but seen as I promised to share any more eggs I thought I would add this up. I came home today to find a broken egg in my Hermanns enclosure. I'm guessing it has been layed and then crushed. A few weeks ago I found some pieces of what I assumed to be egg shell, but this is most definately an egg. The female in question is known to surface lay, but I am going to have a look into the laying area to see if it can be improved at all. I have seen her successfully mated a number of times, so whether this egg was fertile is anyones guess. I think its better not to dwell on it though, at least I'm getting eggs!

Glad your at least getting eggs Pete and it's no where near as bad as breaking one when your digging it up, then you really know it's your fault. I've already done that this year with a pancake egg.

What a shame Dan. I would be kicking myself if I had broken this one myself
Laraine, hopefully, they are becoming more and more intact as I find them

Thanks All, Sandy you are probably right, she is still a young tortoise, so quite likely its infertile anyway.
