I have just fed her again. I know it won't do much difference but I just don't want her to be hungry. I think she is an ibera and I am really sorry but I can't get a picture. I used the stickies on the forum to check if she is an ibera and the vet said so too so I am quite sure but I will try again tommorow.

Judy, I know you must be terribly worried, but all the people on this forum will do what they can to help. They are really nice, know lots about torts and are more than willing to share their knowledge and experience.

Oh dear I do hope she,s ok my female Ibera weighs 1800grms and my male 2100grms thats a lot of difference, if you don't mind me asking is your vet a tortoise specialist or an ordinary vet, although all vets see reptiles they don't specialize in them and a lot of their knowlege maybe out of date you have to search or ask around for a good one, maybe travel a bit further, are you sure your reading your scales right I've made that mistake before, can you tell us a little about her housing food etc and whether she's been hibernated with more information there will be more help

Yes scales can be a pain. Getting all the diffent weights mixed up and some of them just don't record acurately. I know my mother-in-law's scales weigh me at 4lbs more than our scales!

The vets are exotic specialists and she keeps lots of meds as well inher garden so she knows what she is doing. I will try a different set of scales. Thank You so much for helping me guys so far. You've absolutley fab. Sorry I haven't said thanks yet! I could be worms like terrypin said so I will book and appointment. Maybe I have been overreacting a bit but I am still a bit worried.

She is in a tortoise table 50/50 topsoil/sand, she is fed twice a day with as much as she can eat of romaine lettuce, carrots, petunias, weeds, dandelion, ect. She has a heat lamp which is 60w ceramic and is normally outside but its raining now so she is inside. She wasn't hibernated because I have only gt her recently and she was quite nervous so I decided to skip it this year. Maybe thats why?

Yes deffinatly try new scales.
A couple of weeks ago, I weighed all my babies and was shocked to find they had all lost 6g in the space of 2 weeks. Something didnt sound right so I tried 2 different sets of scales and to my relief they had all either gained 1g or remained the same. Rach
