Default ? Strange question

I'd had a thread up a couple of weeks ago about Lottie's eyelid looking
swollen and white in colour. When I took him to the vet I'd bathed
it in the morning and a quite large piece of this white looking
material came off so I showed it to the vet who said it was just
like secretions.

Lottie seems to have trouble opening his eyes in the morning,
they are not sticky, but appear dry, so I bathe them in warm water,
to loosen them up,which he doesn't always like.

Yesterday when he was blinking I thought I could see the third eyelid,
and his eye rolling upwards a bit as if he was having a bit of difficulty
blinking properly.

Now this is going to sound really silly, but there's no chance the white
material I showed to the vet was Lottie's eyelid is there? I know how
daft it sounds but I thought I'd ask

From a couple of weeks ago

Asleep this morning

Prize for the daftest question........

Caroline I don't think he's lost his third eye lid. It does though look like there might have been a slight infection on the outside of the eye lid. It looks fine now, but the skin now is peeling off. Keep up with washing the eyelid like you have been doing.

Thank you Danny and Kristy,

Danny I meant the outer eyelid, I just thought it looked odd that
I was able to see his wee eye "rolling" as he was trying to blink
and it looked like the outer eyelid was only closing 3/4 of what it
should be.

I bathe it every day to help it, even if he gets annoyed with me

He actually let me tickle his chin twice recently so he must be
getting used to me

Oh, and sometimes he looks like he's got cataracts

See! I work in ophthalmics and I must be obsessed with eyes,
maybe I notice too much.
