oh linds.
don't worry yourself too much.
when i had to take bobby to the vets he said once they get RNS it can be very had to get rid of it totally and those torts who get it normally get it again.

i'm sure its nothing you are doing.

When we talk about husbandry not being right, its not always because of bad husbandry. It can be totally normal husbandry, but it could just be something that does not suit your tortoise.

Hi Linds!
Sorry you're having trouble with Hector. Just a thought, have you tried just using top soil without the playsand? It might not make any difference for Hector, but when I first got Ruby she had trouble with swollen and runny eyes (although I know Hectors is his nose), and just didn't get on with having sand mixed in. As soon as I put her on just topsoil all the problems stopped! That might just be an eye thing though, don't know if would make a difference with runny nose. Hope he's ok!

I hope your little one is ok Linds..

try not to take anything said as negative or personally. Like Sandy said, it could just be something not suiting the torts as different things are better than others depending on the torts . I don't have sand at all in my horsfields table now because it was irratating them. Since taking the sand out my guys have been much better. Why don't you try just the soil ?

all points raised are meant as help, i dont think anyone is accusing you of anything, so there is no need to rush to your defence, sometimes its very easy to overlook something
i think that if you look for problems you will find them,
i think that you are looking too hard
your going to have to relax a little lindso, you will drive yourself mad
its very very good to be observent most peoples animals are really sick before the even notice, but honest i think you are worrying for nothing
