The tortoise pellets are in the bin, they were the Trex ones multicoloured and smelt of perfume. He's been outside today and eaten some more dandelion and plantain and rather a lot more of my wild rocket plant.
He's a lovely little chap and I wish I could keep him myself, he's much calmer now and hasn't bit me since Friday. That was an experience and I am very glad my reds don't bite cos I wouldn't have any fingers left. thanks for your help and advice Lynne x

I can't keep the tort because a friend of mine was given him by a collegue from work. She used to have a tortoise as a child and was really excited to be given this one. She lives close by and when we have built her outside enclosure she will take him home. I will be able to see him and will probably end up checking on him every day whilst she is at work. I have two Hermanns and two massive Redfoots they weigh around 3 kgs so I have no more room in my garden for a third enclosure.
Anyway she is already in love with him and wouldn't let me have him lynne
