I have witnessed one of my Marginated eating a slug and it did no harm whatsoever, at times they will eat slugs or snails, if you want give him a bath. I just be careful never to use slug pellets in the garden at all.

THE PROBLEM IS THAT HE'S A BABY AND HE WAS FINDING IT RELLY HARD TO BREATH AND KEPT WHEEZING. IVE USED A COTTON BUD AND REMOVED AS MUCH OF THE SLUG OUT OF HIS MOUTH S POSSIBLE. HE'S NOT WHEEZING ANYMORE BUT HE WANTS TO EAT THINGS HE WON'T STAY IN THE BATH. I THINK HIS AIRWY IS CLEAR BUT I CAN'T TELL. THE VET SAID TO TRY CLEANING HIS MOUTH BUT JUST VERY CONCERNED

I hope things are ok now with your little tort !! It is really horrible to see them struggling - how is he now?
If you are worried regardless of what the vet says over the phone I would take him down to be seen. |

hi everyone thanks for your replies
It is horrible to see he couldn't breathe properly on his own and his throat was blocked for what seemed a life time, thankfully he let me eventually put a cotton bud in his mouth and that pulled some of it out, then he managed to sort him self out. He was very very stressed just glad I was at home when it happened! He is happier now he eat some plants in his house and had another bath and then took himself off to bed, but he had stopped making them torrible choaking noises Thanks again 4 ur replies it can be very worrying even though u know they will eat a slug if they see one, I've checked his house and there are no slugs thankgod
