Thanks Lynn, will do, the vet did actually use Ky jelly to lubricate inside the tale on the cotton bud, I'm pleased to say she has eaten some dandelion leaves this afternoon , it's the first thing she's eaten all day, she did a wee that was quite jelly like, thanks anyway.

Try & get some cucumber in her & some higher fibre foods. Cucumber helps with hydration & constipation so I'm led to believe.

Just got back from the vet, Tiggy has had an X-ray and she is nose to tail constipated, I think it must have been the Komodo pellets , because it has happened since I gave her those, so lots of baths and watery food like lettuce , cucumber and the vet will let me know if there are any medicines I can give her like liquid paraffin .

Hi Suze torts can have liquid parrafin. Hannah, my vet prescribed it for Blossom (also a margie) who was 1.1kilo in weight at the time & just checked dose on bottle : give 1ml by mouth once per day.
bathing lots will obviously help. |

Thanks again Lynn , I will tell my vet about the liquid paraffin , the plan is to keep hydrating with baths and wet watery food over the weekend, if she hasn't pooped by Monday then it's the dreaded enima ( by the vet , not me) poor little Tiggy she keeps straining with all her might to do a poo.

Hi Suze
Fingers crossed she passes something today and that the baths are helpful. Mary |

I took her back to the vets today, still no poop, and I have now started giving her enimas hourly , with water and sometimes with a gel enima for cats called micralax, and I did give her some lactulose, which the vet suggested too. But still no poop, she is eating a bit. Does anyone have any experience of how long this could take? she has done a bit of brown water, maybe it's a start.
