Future possible sale of my Radiata
Hi All,
Wow it has certainly been a while and I do hope you are all well. I've been away for at least a year now, you may recall I was rather unlucky in my quest to start a family and then became quite poorly. Well I'm pleased to say I got better and my luck improved, I now have a beautiful 8 week old daughter!!! Whilst I was ill my friends helped by taking my torts on and I was just left with my 5 Radiata. And it breaks my heart but I am wondering if they would be better homed with someone else as I am finding being a mummy much more demanding on my time as I had thought and also I am ashamed to say that the investment that I made in them is rather significant and I am faced with a hard descision regarding going back to work soon or the possible sale of my torts. I have not changed the certs into my name as I haven't had a minute to look into how complex this will be and I realise I cannot advertise them for sale until I have done so but these are such a special breed and such beautiful examples of the breed that I wanted to see if anyone was interested in talking with me in advance of me formally advertising them or beginning the process of changing the name on the paperwork. Mods- if I am not even allowed to declare an intention to sell without the amended certs then please feel free to remove my post and I will do that first but it could be a while before I am then able to repost. I am not looking to even gain back what I paid I just wish them a good and expert home. Regards, Stacey

Congratulations on your daughter
I'm sure you'll find them all suitable homes.

Hi all,
thank you, it's good to be back- I've missed you guys!! Thanks to those that have PMd me I'll respond soon. The torts were sexed on here about 18 months ago as possible 3 female 2 male I think. But bar one of them they are still too young/small to be accurate. Since they are now older I will repost in the sexing section in advance of their sale. I'll also get onto changing their certs this week so that I may talk more details regarding their sale. X

Hi Chris,
Thanks, they are 04,06,07,08,09. And I will need to measure them, the 04 is significantly larger and is a stunner. Stacey

Congratulations on your beautiful daughter. I'm sorry to hear you may have to sell I also was in a similar position I have a 8 month old son and am expecting my second so due to my family commitments I had to dramatically downsize my tortoises. Just heartbreaking but think it was for their best interest. I'd love a radiated it's just a dream of mine. Goodluck on the sale :0)

How long have they been in the country? Also would you only be happy with parting them as a group or splitting them? I would love to see some pictures
