Hello from Sth Wales
Just want to say hello to everyone on SW. I don't have a tort yet but am hoping to get one around the middle of September. Just want to say what a fab site this is and, despite reading loads of books and trawling the internet for any advice/ info on tortoise keeping etc this is by far the most informative and helpful. I feel confident that any queries I may still have will be answered or have already been posted.
Also, if anyone can help me to locate an ideal beginners tortoise that will be available around the middle of September I'd appreciate it - Not too far from my home in South Wales if poss. Anyways, enough rambling for now.........Gotta go before my boss catches me!!!! |

Welcome to shelled warriors, lots of friendly folk willing to help where they can.
Ibera, marginata, horsfield and hermans are all ideal first time torts. If you use the search button you will find lots of info on all of them. Also try www.thetortoisehouse.com and www.tortoises.net for great info too.
