Hmmm I candled my egg tonight... I'm not hopeful. I was very careful but couldn't take pics as I didn't have enough hands. It looked like there was a dark mass at the top of the egg but I think it was just a bubble.

Ok I have taken some pictures... 17 days in.

What do you guys think? Just one egg.

Note to future Sam, clean eggs before incubation.

I'm sorry Sam, but I'm not very experienced at looking at candled eggs having only incubated once before. I'd say that there's no sign of any ring of life or veins to suggest a fertile egg, but it is pretty hard to see. Also, the egg looks very large to me. Hopefully someone with more experience will see the thread and give a better indication than me.

Yeah I'm not all that hopeful, I just wanted to check that circle shape that can be seen.

When you shine the light from the top, you really need to take the picture from the side, to be able to see more easily any signs of fertility:0)

As has been said, you need to shine the light through from one side to the other, and take a picture from the side, because you will usually see the embryo on the side. But by now I would expect to see a good size embryo and obvious veins all over, I don't think these are fertile, sorry.

Ah that is such a shame Sam, Roxy first clutch weren't fertile, and I've got a feeling her 2nd clutch may not be fertile either, that's 7 eggs she lad in the last month and possible none fertile x
