Default My Hermanns Enclosure

After re-designing a new indoor area for my littleuns last year I then got a new addition. Now they're four years old I thought it best to extend their quarters so I have posted some pics of the table with its extension As my littleuns love climbing we have added a ladder style climbing frame and they have taken to sleeping under the heat lamp at night (which goes off an hour after the uv lamp) where they dig down for the night.

Lovely torts. Looks good, can they get out through the slat he's peeping through? x

That looks amazing. I'd probably think about lowering the slats so there is no gap and adding extra to the top

My initial thought was whether they could squeeze through the gaps too. I know that my two climbers, Theo and Hugo, would soon be over the top! It's amazing how they can climb. I have lips along all my tables to prevent them from doing so.
I love the last photo.....all that climbing clearly is so tiring!

No they can't get out as they're too big, but they love looking out through them and watching us as we go about our daily lives. They are always peeping out through the section nearest the lounge door to greet us in the morning and they often sit watching us in the evenings too.

There are enough slats high so that they can't climb out and are far enough away from eachother so despite their climbing efforts which are very impressive, they would need to be a lot larger to get anywhere climbing them.

I used to have a table for them which didnt have gaps, but theyre far more active this way and calmer. Before when they couldn't see out they would just walk around the edge of the table, now they enjoy the whole space.
