Nice one....
I have been breeding them for a few years now and there seems to be no set time limit on how long they take. They seem to diapause for a month then will start to form. I have had two eggs laid on the same day from separate females and they hatched a month apart. |

Yes, I read every scrap of information on the diapause and how to break it. Ended up not really following any particular method, did a few weeks at 25C then bumped it up to 32C for the duration. Egg was laid 19th Jan, first signs of an embryo, 12th March. Used dry vermiculite with humidity at about 50 percent. Ramped the humidity up to 70 in the last few weeks as I thought it was close to hatching. Sort of matches wild conditions. |

I have tried lots of different ways and I now don't bother.
All I do is put them straight in the incubator which is set at 32.5 and leave them to it and usually in a month you can see them starting. Also I use totally dry vermiculite in a tub with a sealed lid on it which I open once a week for air exchange. |
