Lilys Red Light District (AKA - Habistat Dimming Thermostat) Part II
All working fine now....
One little thing.... Lily seems to be awake when it comes on... I snuck in, crept....and there he was wide awake (whilst the red light was on)....looking about.. My question is - Can he SEE this red light??? I didnt think they could see these night lights. I have this one: http://reptilekeeping.co.uk/zoo-med-...ew-p-1078.html Im a bit confused as to why he seems to be aware of the light?? Or... is it the subtle heat he can feel?? He was just looking all about... Anyone have any answers?? Thanks!! Last edited by yuna1971; 26-09-2010 at 07:02 PM. |

Yes. Its on the habistat dimmer thermostat...(the one I didnt switch on last week!)
It says on the packaging that reptiles cant see it..... Its a mystery as to what on earth Lily was looking at. ...... |

Hee hee....maybe!
But the heat isnt intense, its very subtle. It never is blaring out.... I opened the door...and before even coming in, just looked across and it was like peek a boo..... |

Think Lily probably woke because of the warmth, which means its working well, and was just having a torty moment. You know, where they are warming up and do seem to be looking at something, but I think they are just enjoying the warmth and getting ready for the day

Its just weird...he was sat there. All cosy in his grass...but just wide awake looking about. He was looking at the red glow from the bulb.....(his back is to the light itself)
I just am not sure if he can see the light or not.... |
