looks great dave, love the idea of a "warm house" well thought out, can i ask that you please put a smoke alarm in,
i dont envy you the cleaning out all the way up there, but for keeping a general eye on them , why not get one of those security cameras, so you can take a peek from the comfort of your tv shame your not in the north east, i saw a lovely couple of hermans at the weekend would look great in your loft!!! |

Great idea, I got the £29.99 camera from Ebuyer.com and it's great. You can just flick the telly onto that channel for a quick shifty..it's also infra red so you can see clearly in the dark just as if it was daylight

Hmmm. This hasn't really worked out following a bit of a cold snap I've brought them all back down. However I have a cunning plan....

It was fine maintaining the temperature in the hide, they just wouldn't come out of it! This is going to sound a bit mental but I'm thinking of making a really big coldframe or poly tunnel to fit over the whole thing to try and keep the heat in an enclosed area. Otherwise my electric bill is going to be about a million pounds.

yeah sounds like a good idea, would keep any dust out as well then. Good luck Dave, can't wait to see the finished product
