Well in my opinion it would be a high risk that they would not live happily together, so unless you have the room to keep them seperately I would not take that risk. What is the reason you want to keep this ratio anyway, is it to breed?

ummm... well... given a little thought... it's a natural ratio.
I'll throw the question to you... have you kept any 1.1 ratio chelonians?

I don't think it is a natural ratio as in the wild they would rarely come across each other so forcing then together all the time wouldn't work for the female IMO. I have a ratio of 9:2 and that just about works for mine.

that ratio would never occur in the wild.

It is also my opinion that it is not a natural ratio for animals that are confined, so therefore have no means of escaping the male for long as they would if free. |

You might qualify your statement by saying 'I believe...' . You might also offer some reference to your statement... the TT does not count.
Ummm... if you haven't kept adults in a 1.1 ratio together... how do you know? You are entitled to your opinion on a public forum... even if I beleve it is wrong. Quote:

I'm hurt. That is so insulting.
You might want to answer my question.
