Default 'itching' (?)

guys i need some help here
due to crappy weather stan the 9 yr old hermanns has to come inside. he is not a happy bunny. charging up and down. i know he wants to be outside but its pouring and cold.
the thing is he keeps doing this thing where he rubs against surfaces and kind of 'does the twist' as if he is scratching his shell!!
why does he do this?
cheers guys
