What sub species
I have four females and one male. All are different in size and colour, was wondering what sub species of Hermanns they are.
I think they are all THB's, possibly one female THH?? 1st One is Jessica this is the one i was thinking possibly THH? 2nd Big Momma 21cm SCL THB. 3RD Finn Male THB 16 SCL rescued with flared shell and pyramid shell. 4th Jess Female THB with darker markings. My other large female THB looks the same as Big Momma. I do plane to put the male in with them in a few weeks time, but if one of the females is a THH i will need to take her out when he is in there. Any advice is much welcomed Andy |

Thanks Dan,
I did have my suspicions about my first picture, I bought her last year, she laid six eggs a couple of months after I got her, one hatched out of the six. I will contact the last owner as she was kept there with a male for ten years, hopefully she still has him???? As for the second THH I did not think of that as her markings were darker? I now know too keep my male away from the THH. Thanks again Andy |

Thanks Bev,
Dan, As only one egg hatched out of the six would have this been something to do with the temp and hum I incubated them 31-21c and 72-85 hum? The reason I asked the questions regarding sub species was from an Old thread on here I was reading this also mentioned about incubating at a lower temp for THH? Is this true? Cheers Andy |

Yes that very well could have been the problem, that the incubation temperatures were to high. I wouldn't go above 30C with them.
