my garden this morning. I just can't see the attraction of this stuff at all. Why would you want something that causes such problems? We've got old folks here that haven't been out of their homes for 6 days and have no groceries etc, where's the fun in that? Kids can't even go sledging as it's over 2 feet deep, you can't walk in it. The council has made a single track down our road and with that, blocked every car in

I agree, I hate it. Fortunately, I did a big shop last week so don't need to go out. Stephen set off for school before 7am and it wasn't snowing then, had done during the night, but it certainly is now. He's arrived, but may be home sooner tonight. Its about 7 miles by bus, but once he's walked about 5 minutes down the hill its the main road through to Croydon and then out the other side.

I have a cousin who was a postman. He slipped on some ice and now spends most of his time in a wheelchair. He has very limited mobility, but can walk a few yards. When I see children deliberately sliding on the ice, I always think of him. I know it was an accident and they are children.

we've had another 4 inches or so today and it's to be another 4 tonight and even more through the day tomorrow. they are trying to keep the main road open but nobody can get onto it anyway! roofs of farm buildings are caving in with the weight like they did last winter. there are street lights in the street behind us but the ones actually in our street have been off since friday too
