Default Organic Slug Pellets

Hey guys!

I know this is a touchy subject, and I have a mad slug issue right now. I have a shared garden and one of the neighbours keeps putting slug pellets down

Do u guys know anything about this?

http://www.organiccatalogue.com/p182...duct_info.html.

I have some. Is it safe for my tort?

They r supposed to b organic and safe.

Does anyone know?

HH

I posted up a thread here about slugs:
http://www.shelledwarriors.co.uk/for...ad.php?t=50935

In reality I didn't get a satisfactory conclusion - instead I now go out on a nightly 'slug-hunt', scooping them up and flinging them as far as I can.
As unlikely as this sounds, it has actually reduced the numbers in our garden.... if I see the small ones, they get scooped up and flung into the car park too.

I wouldn't risk it not if there was a million slugs

Blimey, after that rain yesterday there were loads of slugs out - all eating my plants.
I had to do 2 sessions of slug hunting, and must have picked up 40-50 in total.... all slung over the fence.

This is going to sound odd, but I wish it would rain here:0)
Because we have had no real down pours in nearly two months:0(
I can complain about the sun, but the poor garden is so dry:0(

Where I am there is never a shortage of rainfall. What we need is a pipeline to send water down to the south east and we could make loads of money out of it. This has been seriously talked about.

In my garden the soil contains what seems like an infinite number of slugs and we also have 4 species of snails. The big brown snails are the most disgusting and when I tread on one at night after checking on the torts the crunching sound is horrible!

Its a shame they don't transport water around the country, it does make sense, but not sure of the costs. They probably out way the benefits, to those with money to invest:0(

Ok, so no one can help then? From what I've read it's a scam. They do kill. And I bought 3 bottles. I got ripped off

On an important note - how long does it take slug pellets to lost effect? Normal dangerous ones that is

I wouldn't trust any pellets of any sort for tortoises.
Sorry I don't know the answer about how long the effects stay, as I don't use them in my garden and have not since 1985.
