Default Help with RT sexing

Hey hoping someone can help me tell the sex of this 1 year old russian tortoise. I know it is still pretty young and difficult to tell for sure but any guidance would be appreciated. The tortoise is about 2 inches long.

Hi there and a very warm welcome to the forum!

I don't keep this species and yes it's a small one for sexing. Even if it was a hemann, and I'm quite good at sexing those, I might easily be wrong at that stage of development.

But let's see what the Horsfield keepers think.

It's way to young to be accurate but I would say it's looking male to me but not a guarantee.

I would tend to think male as well.

all my girlies have a very distinctive stubby tail as Horsfields even at quite a young age and the boys distinctively males with their tipped tails and room for swinging it about. I would say male, CB
