Hi Karin,

Glad you've ordered yourself a copy. It will tell you a great deal about the natural history and biology of Hermanns tortoises. You will find information in the book which is contrary to that which is commonly followed in the UK. For instance, Wolfgang does not agree with the use of dietry suppliments instead releying on the correct growing medium to supply feeder plants with the correct calcium and other mineral levels. Best thing to do is read it and adapt your keeping based on the information, if you so wish.

Totally agree kirkie this is what I liked about the book he gave you the facts and backed them up. I have learnt so so much from the book and it gave me more confidence when it came to caring for my torts. I sprinkle out of date nutrobal in the soil which I grow my weeds in and also add limestone to the soil too. I still give nutrobal on their food
