poor Buzz
Took Buzz for a check up at the vets on Saturday. They decided she is going blind and that's why she falls down the stairs (I have known for a couple of years she is going blind ) and found she has a heart murmur, a leaking valve, but that that's to be expected for a dog her age (she is 13) we also had some fat lumps biopsied, get the results tomorrow (expecting it just to be fat as expected)
But Sunday and today she is just not feeling well, keeps stressing and peeing and been sick yesterday and today. Am hoping its just that she got a bit stressed at the vets, but I hate it when she is sick! Just want to make her feel better! (she is still eating though)

Poor Buzz and poor you, Merlin. Our pets are so beloved. I hope the biopsies come back with good news. I'm sure the vet trip has stressed her out. My son is training to be a veterinary nurse and he says some dogs get really stressed as soon as their owners approach the vets, while others bound in and see it as a treat of a trip. I guess it depends on what they've been through before and what they pick up on in the waiting room and consult room.
I really hope all will be well and her eyes won't deteriorate much more. Bless her. x

Thanks!
She used to love going to the vets, but less so as she has got older and there has been a bit more poking and prodding. But taking the samples for the biopsies seemed to stress her a lot. But she sat pretty still! I was very proud of her! Didn't see any other animals which is good as she cant be near other dogs! I will let you know how the test results go, apparently looked like fat on the slide, just got to see how they looked under the microscope

I can fully sympathise with you Merlin. Teddy is going blind and deaf. he stumbles a lot now and get sore joints he also has warts al over him right to the end of his tail. He's 13 too. It's such a worry when they are under the weather. I hope Buzz feels better soon.

Aww bless her. I sympathise too, Taz is almost 12. I rescued him so I don't know his exact birthday. One card I have says November 2002 and one NYD 2003 so I stick with NYD. I'm sure he doesn't mind. As you know he too has fits and I've noticed a lump that hasn't changed for a long time so I assume it's fatty. The vet said it was nothing to worry about unless it changes. He feels the cold more too.
Keeping everything crossed that's it's just old age for Buzz xxx
