looks good, horsefields like to burrow so perhaps making the substrate deeper would be better for your new arrival , be warned youwill not stay away when he/she arrives lol

I will gradually make substrate deeper but the problem is she is quite small and I dont want it to be dangerous lol. I wont want to leave her but she will be living at my boyfriends she will be well looked after though and I will see her as much as I can

reccomend a depth of 2 inches, it won,t be dangerous for her. Horsefields can dig down 5 feet. They seem to much prefer being able to dig down of a night time

She won,t suffocate both my girls are as I type under a few inches of substrate and will be ther till the light goes on in the morning. Is the new home once built going to be a table with an open top for air ? if so you will need to make it deep enough for a good few inches.

For a few months she will be in the above which is a tank with the top off, so as close a compromise as we can get, in a few months when she is settled and a bit bigger we will build her a table, thats what I want ideally but just cant do it at the moment. Will deffo put some more soil in sunday morning before we get her, thankyou
