Congratulations Paul
The effort of hatching out of his egg seems to have exhausted the little chap |

Thanks, I am very proud of these. I think this is only the second time that they have been bred in the UK. I had an adult trio many years ago, and gave these to ZSL. However, they lost them after a while due to a problem in their enclosure. My current breeding group, have been with me for many years, initially as young animals. After approx ten years, they are now adult and one female produced a clutch of eggs for the first time last year, two eggs, which did not hatch. However, last December, the largest female which weighs now nearly 5kg laid a clutch of Five eggs, which seem to be good.

Thats a pity about your previous group. I can't blame you for being proud I mean only the second time to have been bred thats impressive plus its always great to hear of breeding success with species which are approaching an endangered status.
The female looks great you've clearly done a great job with her and so in turn she's returning the favour best of luck with the rest of the eggs
