ok fia renough just thought i might be worth getting the goverment involved as if ur father moves somethign around then he will legally need aproval and such....these are being captive bred aswell due to them declining and it might be usful haveing one or 2 of them so that the breeders can get fresh bloodlines so ther ecan release mor ein the wild.
just a thought |

I love slow worms but haven't seen one for years. Your dad is so lucky to have them in his garden.

you only need an article 10 to keep themand its not hard to get aslong as you can prove they are captive bred the same as torts
as for contacting the council i wouldnt bother you will only get every tom dick and harry coming round for a prod and they will then tell you what you can and cant do with your garden which is a pain in the bottom its the same if you have bats you cant do anything about it but if you contact the council they will come and remove them its bizarre one rule for us and a million different rules for them

a few problems with this is to keep them they need to be third generation captive bred, and from past experince with legless lizards there not the easiest thing to keep. put to u about the concoil......yes they do come and probe around but as members of a wildlife garden in a middle of the city we have to let the concil do this as we have grass snakes, common lizards and some natter jacks and 3 great crested newts
