Glad hes ok and its out just keep a close eye on him and im sure he will be fine
you could always keep him on an old towel for the time being if you dont have news paper ive read before that someone has done this in the past

He will also be able to hide in the folds of the towel if its in a box.
Might be nicer for him than newspaper or magazines. I would also keep him warm over night in the box in the airing cupboard, and put him with his light again in the morning, just to stop him getting any shock after the trauma of it all. Ade

I'm glad the vet got it out Rachel. I had a CB male Egyptian do the same thing. Not sure why and he's never done it since.

I would suggest bathing with betadine or the like tomorrow to help stop infection.
Or did the vet say something different? I know when torts lay eggs, the stretching stays for a while, as I check my females when I get home from work. Gives me a clue if they have laid. But it does go back quite quickly into shape.

he never mentioned anything about bathing in betadine i think i have some of that as well its a red colour
i will put a towel in for him he was mooching about earlier as normal thanks |

im glad this stone has been passed
i have used old towels as substrate during worming if you put it in a bit crunched up the tort will use the folds |

ok will do that
he is just sat under his light this morning seems a bit quiet but its hard to say as the other three are just sat under there light how much do i use of the betadine to part water |

he hasnt really moved about alot today he has had some food
i gave him a bath this morning and have just bathed his bum his bum looks ok but its like wet around it a bit but i was thinking it could be the lube the vet put up there is it normal that he is a bit quiet today ???? |
