I bought one stepping stone from B&Q at the weekend, it was only £4!

i would send you one, but the postage would be more expensive than going to B&Q or a garden centre, but you want natural slate not polished or a weathered roof tile would do,
i bet there are plenty of roofers out there that would help a damsel in distress

B&Q Warehouse at Livingston and Edinburgh sell natural slate out in their area where they sell paving and decking and stuff. It starts at £3.49 or so each but if you go to the floor tile section indoors at B&Q they often sell off packs of them for a fiver if they are end of range or cracked. 12 inch square usually. You could be lucky and get natural slate but they also have slate 'effect' ones too

OK I'll try an aquarium shop or a broken one at b and q.
