Is it?
I think it is fertile..... is it? It's 4 days old. and I would be so, so happy as the last 11 eggs have been empty..... I don't want to move it, so this is the best photo I could get at the moment. Thanks!

Thank you Kirkie and Danny. You have both just made my day! I had a stern talking to my males, and one of them must have been listening LOL.
One more quick question if you don't mind. She laid a broken egg, and then this egg. When I dug up the nest there wasn't that much broken shell to be found. If she laid another egg after the broken one.... should she be alright, or should I get her x-rayed Thanks a mil!

She should be alright, but always nice to know what might be going on inside. So an x-ray might be in order.

Is this the 'ring of life'? the egg is 10 days old now.... I'm not sure if it is.... as I expected a glowing light and a choir of angels to be singing when I eventually found one... LOL

the egg developed for about another 10 days and developed some veins.... but then one by one the veins disappeared.
The same tortoise laid 4 eggs yesterday..... so fingers and toes crossed.
