My shed Arcadia 160w is just over a year old now, kiss of death , a new one is in order. Old one goes as a spar warm up bulb, nice bulb.

they don't do a 120w rowan, 100w or 160w. they don't produce as much heat as other bulbs, maybe that's why they are a success. the 160w gets set a lot higher than a 100w remember

I post my readings in a thread in housing section every now and again and my last one was after 9 months constant use and the UVB that it was producing was still more than many new bulbs

remember though that if you get a 160w you will need a lamp holder that takes up to 160w, usually they are up to 200w the ones i use, exo terra glo light (LARGE 25CM)

Just checked my holder and it says " 230v or 160w max use R-type lamp "

So, what does that mean please????????

I think the new Mega Ray's are also a little down in heat, the two new'ish Arcadia and Mega Ray bulb's are becoming ideal for say March-Nov weather, Depth of winter they could need a back up heat source of some kind.
