thanks for confirming that ID! first success from the new book lol, Lynne.. i was struggling to id the others as there were no flowers, and leaves all look the same to me :P

tree saplings... please dont tell me i have trees popping up all round the garden :O lol

3 looks like an elder tree does it not? not sure TBH
4 looks like it may be edible but not sure what.. it may be one of the many hawkweeds

does it help to know that the leaves are soft and a bit furry? im determined to try and id them now! got quite a lot in the back, time for googling i think...
