Sounds good, I be doing some reading up on that once available, I haven't yet found a substrate that I am completely happy with... looking forward to product 2!

CB these are just my thoughts but I think a dimming thermostat will still be really useful for controlling a heat lamp. The Arcadia D3 is probably the best of the combined lamps in terms of reliability and longer life. You can't use a dimming thermostat with a combined bulb and have to adjust the height of the bulb instead. In confined spaces a combined bulb is not a good idea because of the heat build-up but the 80 watt might be an exception to that since it produces little heat anyway.

very welcome they are too Jonathan. So dimming switch is probably ok on heat emitters too. All my bulbs have always been Arcadia D3 - and they are sent through the post no problems at all which is super. I do check mine with the IR thermometer and I do think they can get a little hot in the summers months, like you my stands are hand made pieces of wood and one is on a 2nd hand camera tri pod - I like to keep any little ones on the cooler side 26 - 27c as they seem more active too. I worry about electricity cuts with the D3 as the elements are so sensitive. Very useful thanks Jonathan I am checking out the T5 too but will wait for the big announcement first.

Ok,

As there are a bunch of new lines I think it is best if I let you know one by one every couple of days

Firstly our brand new EarthMix substraight is now available in ALL good shops and online. This is very suitable for tortoises and will go some way to help maintain mineral and B group ingestion.

Ok, for a worlds first just for you guys today.

We are releasing a series of brand new and exclusive supplements and insect foods. These are all made in the UK to the highest standards and follow the advice that I gave in my books.

I am delighted to be able to come to the market with powders that are A. Non toxic! And B. Actually have some good science behind them.

The first one is called 'EarthPro-A'. It will be available in 100g and 500g breeder pouches. It is UK sourced and made to the highest standard and contains zero fat soluble vitamins. It does contain 60% high grade Ca plus full spectrum naturally occurring and mined minerals and trace elements. It has added proteins and aminos acids, B group vitamins, bee pollen and an exclusive Organic Caroteniod powder that is exclusive to us and delivers 7x more potency than any other naturally occurring product. As such we cater for vitamin A in a safe, regulated and fool proof way.

To be used alongside a well set, wild re-creating UV system.

RRP for 100g is just £5.99. £17.99 for 500g

All in re-sealable pouches.

John
