Default Large slates

Where am I going to get some from ? I left my old ones at my mams which are now part of her Redfoot enclosure. The place I got mine from isn't there anymore. Where else can I get reasonably sized slates ? They're all small ones here "s

Go and have a look in your local reclamation yard they will have loads of old roofing slates but make sure they are old ones as the new ones aren't real slate.

Some garden centres do the thick chunks of slate , for building rockeries.

Coincidence!

A couple of days ago I was cycling in the countryside and noticed a big pile of discarded slates at the side of the road from when a farmer had a roof re-done. They had obviosuly been there for years and weeds were growing among them. I got 3 nice big pieces and put them in my bag, though I must admit they were rather heavy.

I wouldn't mind but I used to be very friendly with a roofer but we lost contact when I changed my job "/
