Lovely pictures. I can't believe the size of Das Baby. It doesn't seem that long ago he was so 'wee'.

Is that a vine leaf?

Thanks all!

Jan that leaf is nettle-leaved bellflower AKA Campanula Trachelium. For anyone that doesn't know this one, it's a great plant for shady places and tortoises are very keen on it.

I'm glad you reminded me about vine leaves though - I just got some from my neighbour's greenhouse. She has a vine growing there and is happy for the torts to get some.

Thanks Jonathan, I have some vine leaves so will try. We have some bitter red grapes that the birds love, so will be great to make use of the leaves. I will also buy some of the plant you mention. My new years resolution will be to get some more planting organised ready for the spring.

Jan , my Horsfields love grape vine leaves, I cut the whole stalky bit off usually and they leave that but eat the leafs. I sometimes cut it up into a lettuce and vine leaf 'pie' too which smells lovely - and is crunchy and they have it as a treat.

more photographs soon too please Jonathan !
