Can anyone confirm that mannitol is found in the flesh of the pumpkin? Everything I find on google suggests it's found in the seeds.

well i never thought till i found this site to try pumpkin on my tort...so last night after my creative carving with kids....gave NESS his first bit of pumpkin in his 16 years ish of life...and he was straight over(very surprised as he is usually a weed only guy) and if he was a dog he would have been growiling LOL. was standing on it all protective was very amusing to watch hahahah

learnt so much since finding this site

would just like to say that when we got a pumpkin for haloween i thought i would try bernard on some. he wasnt too impressed at first but when i held it in front of him again he had a good sniff and a little nibble and then there was no stoppin him... he loved it. didnt no how much to give him though as he has never had it before and didnt want to upset his tummy. so just gave him a small amount and then some the next day. will def be tryin to grow my own for next year!
