Find the 2 female Chaco tortoises
A friend from Uruguay sent me these pictures so I could sex them for him . Come on guys give it a try

Oh wow Dan.Id love chacos like I said though rare in this country.
Hmm my guess on the females is oh my god its hard to tell lol. If I have to say id say the bottom one on the left and the one above it

just to show i'm learning a bit, judging by the size of the tails and what seems to be relatively flat plastrons i think they are all female

Great guesses everybody . Chaco tortoises are one of the hardest tortoises to sex. Males only have a slightly longer tail. Males don't much of any or none at all in the plastral concavity department. You can't even go by anal scute seam length or the angle. So after all that Pete has guessed right and yes there are only 2 females in the pictures all the rest are males.

do the females of this species have a bottom scute in a v shape and the males a u shape???
