During a recent holiday to South Africa, we visited the famous Robyn island, where Nelsoni Mandela was imprisoned by the former government of South Africa, for years. During the customary tour of the island, our little tour bus was held up for some time asbavgroup of these delightful Tortoises crossed the road. the island it seems, has a thriving population of Bowsprit Tortoises.
We saw them again at various locations along the Cape coast. These very attractive animals are quite common in the country. |
