My redfoot, Beasley, is now 9 years old, but I don't have any decent recent pix, but I will get some SOON!
Here a few when she was younger. At about 9 mos old: About 2 years old: And this is Persephone, a wonderful female redfoot who lived with me for 3 amazing years. I ended up sending her to a fabulous breeder in Florida, where she can be outside year-round. Even here in Middle Tennessee, it is too cold in the winter by far, and when I moved to my farm, I had no way to get her set up appropriately indoors on short notice. Being wild-caught (I rescued her from a horrible zoo situation where she was mauled by schoolchildren), she just never adapted well to indoor living, whereas Beasley handles the winters like a champ. Here is Persephone with my mom: Here she is in Florida with all her new friends. She is on the far right. |
