Princess
This is Princess she is a Testudo Hermanni Boettgeri hatched by myself about 15 years ago I think. She actually belongs to my granddaughter and has the perfect life she hibernates with me and spends a few weeks in the spring with us when she has access to a male then she moves to my daughters sunny garden and spends the summer alone in peace with the run of the whole garden, what a life. Here she is this spring first day out of hibernation having a soak

Well Princess certainly suits her as she's a real beauty!

Thanks again Emma you are kind to comment. My eldest grand daughter picked her out when she was half this size about 6 years ago. They have only recently been able to move her to their home where she has her own tortoise house and the run of the whole garden.

Sounds as if she lives the life of Riley.

Princess is the right name - she is so pretty and sounds like she is treated as a Princess.
Are you Jersey in US or one of the Channel Islands? Perhaps CI after your location is the clue. Sorry if being a bit dim!

Yes Jersey C.I. i Iwould have put New Jersey otherwise lol. I really think having your location helps when receiving advice. I do ask people to do this on my own forum. It saves people looking foolish ( you can put your hatchling out in the garden now REPLY. but there is still 6" of snow here in Alaska. oops!

Though it would be great to see some Jersey torts in jersey gardens from either place.
