It took Tilda a few days to start to sleep under her log, she used to go where Quinn is in the once picture, so give it time.
What a lovely looking tortoise! |

he is looking great, he is so beautiful!! How did he get on at the vets?
Do you have a pets at home near you, they sell play logs (they are in the rabbit, hamster section) they are cheap, different sizes and both my torts love them, and a lot of people on here use them. You can bend them and use them as hides, my torts love climbing over them and I can bend the baby's logs so she can get under to sleep and it's not too steep for her to climb over and she can do it safely. I also have one flat in her box and she goes out her way to walk over it, its good for strengthening her wee muscles. My older one would only sleep in a cardboard box until I got him the logs, he loves them. Last edited by gwenq; 27-08-2012 at 10:00 AM. |

Hi Gwen, He got on fab at the vets, his eyes are all clear and externally in good heath!! yippeee!! just to hand in a stool sample for worm check but otherwise all good........he didnt even huff when i put him back in his table after the car journey. He doesnt seem to be a tortoise that huffs either cause the amount of times i've changed his table lay out at moment until i get it all arranged and he isnt bothered. I had a look at pets at home for those things but i wasnt looknig it correct area. Will start putting him outside as much as possible when im home, then next summer i will build an out door enclosure.
