Tortoises can swim!
Well I've had Absolem for a while now and had been told that redfoots can swim but had not plucked up the courage to actually put him in deep water!
We put our turtle, Ouiji in the bath for a good swim and Michael decided to see if Absolem could indeed swim! And he does I did panic a bit when he first went in but he floats and paddles about and actually seems to quite like it! Then Ouiji decided he looked like a big rock and sat on him: A little video for you to see the water doesn't look ver deep but Absolem can't touch the bottom at all...as you can see when Ouiji swims straight underneath him lol http://s720.photobucket.com/albums/w...t=07599ac3.mp4 Last edited by kreacher; 22-08-2011 at 09:29 AM. |

Ouiji is so cute!
How brave to put Absolem in the bath to see if he could swim. Fantastic that he can and he seems to be enjoying it too.

Lol how did you think torts managed to get to places like the Galapagos, Madagascar and the Seychelles?
I'm tempted to try make mine swim but I don't think they'll appreciate it Helen xx |
