I also think that long term exposure to house dust/ central heating and even our germs, plus I believe that even cooking can give of poisonous fumes I'm sure I read somewhere about certain household items etc being harmfull to birds over a long exposure so who's to say that the same doesn't apply to other animals, short lived creatures such as hamsters etc wouldn't really matter but torts outlive anything else we might keep so do we really know the harm that could be done over years iside a house.

i could make an outdoor enclosure for him but i could not leave him out there all night

if you could leave him out all day during spring and summer
this might well be a good compromise some other keepers are not able to leave their torts out at night because of predators and security risks are you sure when you move house you will have a garden rehoming would break your heart |

i was going to make an enclosure in my room big enough and with a bridge to the floor of my room with other enclosures with turf and water around the rest of the room for him to pic and choose witch one he wanted to go to each time and have loads of plants around the place to make him feel at home.

walking around your room is not really a good idea
torts need to be near the uv source & heat source also torts need sand soil mix to bury and thermoregulate have a look in the housing section indoor enclosures sticky |

can a tortoise be trained at all because i set up about 3 uv lamps around my room withe the soil and sand mixture under them same with food basicly it would be 3 enclousers around the room with the floor connecting them...

you can let them know when theyve done something ad and they might stoo doign it.
im sure they could be trained to do simple hings(eg climb on your shoe when there hungry in the garden) |
