Default Please help

This baby hatched with a dead tiny twin. I tied it off about 22 hours ago hoping the little twin would drop off. This is what it looks like now. The cotton has gone loose.
What should I do ???

Oh no not what you want!! I don't know what to do but my gut instinct would be to tie a new piece of dental floss around tighter?!? Really though I would wait for Dan as he has amazing knowledge!!

Good luck!!

Please let us know how little 'un gets on x x x

Got everything crossed for you!!

Wendy

With sterile scissors cut the cord between them, and bathe the area with diluted disinfectant of some sort to prevent bacteria setting in. Cut the cord as close to the live hatchling as you possible can without causing bleeding etc.
Also keep the live one hydrated even if this means dropping water over the nares.

Although I'm not an expert, and have not been in this situation. I would do as sandy has said.

yep as has been said, tie it off again as tight as you can then snip the cord between them and keep the area clean and dry as possible to avoid infection,

good luck
