Default White bugs

I have spoted tiny tiny white bugs in my substrate (coco choir) 1. what are they. 2. Can they do any harm to my tort. 3. the most important how do I get rid of them

Clean out their substrate, clean their home properly with tortoise safe disinfectant and put clean substrate in

I'm not exactly sure what they are, Springtail mites maybe. They won't do any harm though. You need to clean out the enclosure and wash everything. They're a right pain to get rid of.

It's just they are tiny and all it takes one to be left in a crevice. Think I might need to nulid a new table Does disinfectant Kill mites/flys thoughts it was only germs?

Smile hi

I had them when I used top soil ,I cleaned with the f10cs all I had at the time , they went but for now I have gone back to orchid bark they never reappeared , I am sure they came in with the home base top soil .

Have been looking into the bugs and looks like there Root Aphids (root mites) still looks like I will be building a new table
