Toroise trying to drown itself!! Hopefully not..
Hi as recommended in other posts I have started to bath my Spurthigh each day in the bath. I went out the bathroom for a couple on minutes , when I came back in she had her head under water and was motion less. All of a sudden she blew some bubbles out of her nose and lifted her head as if nothing had happed, then did it again a few moments later. Is this normal behaviour as it gave me a bleeding heart attack or has my Tort had enough of her life!!!.

How deep is the water? It only needs to be an inch; enough to come over the plastron (undershell)
Probably less if your tort is small

That's how tortoises drink. They drink by putting their head under water if you look closely you will see them drink by the neck moving.

My baby Tunisians stick their heads under the water for an unbelievable amount of time.

Yeah, mine also dunk their heads under to drink. I often spot a nice wee coming out the other end shortly after.
