Question Changing sleeping habit

Since i have had Fluffbum, he has ALWAYS slept in his snak shak every night religiously!
But i did a complete substrate change a couple of weeks ago and now he has dug out a hide under the rocks and one behind his tree bark and he chooses one of these every night now.
Any ideas? Has he suddenly decided he prefers soil to the wood chip after 9 months of not going near it or do you reckon there is another reason?
Just when i think i know everyhting about him, he does something to confuse me! LOL
Maybe i should get rid of the woodchip thats in one end and completely fill the enclosure with soil???

Hi they do swap and change there sleeping habits lol, my 3 Hermans take turns, 2 in the hide, 1 out the hide, 1 dug in, 2 on top, and vice versa.
They just tend to sleep around

My indoor enclosure has just soil but it does have some small stones at one end withhis food and water dish on so he rubs the soil off his feed before he goes in them lol.

well i have just had a tweak of Fluffmeisters enclosure and i have moved his snak shak onto the soil end to see if he prefers it. I do like him to sleep in it as i feel like he is a bit more protected and warmer. Sad arent i?!
Will see where he chooses to sleep tonight.
