Stolen tortoises returned...

The tortoises, which were taken on 28 July, and were tracked down after Surrey Police were told that they were being offered for sale in a pub.

The information also suggested the tortoises would be thrown in the river if they were not sold.

Community support officer Dave Boxall said: "The tortoises have now been reunited with their rightful owner."

I hope alongside the return of the tortoises - the theives were caught and prosecuted - if nothing more than 'handling stolen goods'.

I'm so happy to hear this. It really bummed me out when I heard of the theft.
