He has well and truely 'woken up' - he still needs to eat more though I've tempted him with chopped apple, green beans, lettice, dandelions (plus the flowers!), tomatoes, cucumber - all home grown - but he's very reluctant to eat.
His speed has zoomed up a notch though - and he's not plodding now but moving around at the pace he always did (especially a the sight of a fluffy bum ... ie a persian or a cavvie!!!). Last night I slept properly for the first time for ages! This site was one of the first thoughts in my mind when he 'came home', I had to tell you all!! - I am just so appreciative of the thoughts and help you all have given me, and that I have passed on to my family - thank you SO much x I just hope other people missing their tortoises have the same outcome as this. |

Yay, I came on here looking on an update for him and I am just so pleased that you found him!
How long was he missing?

In total he was missing for 10 weeks.
He's been a total hooligan today - as it's been pouring with rain, he's clambered back indoors to do what he's always been happiest doing. Head butting the fridge for food, chasing the persians for a swifty nibble of their back legs and then nicking the best dog bed available! His appetite's back, he's poo'd and pee'd.. I will now go get my camera out xxx |

Light's not good as this is all going on around/under my 'pooter table!!
All the dogs and cats are ruled by him - if he wants a bed, then they have to move! He's now snuggled down in the one my Betty (JR) is in, pictured. I will take some better ones tomorrow of him in the garden - and also some of Bill, BabyBen and NancyBoy xx |
